About Us

My name is Kim Lavorante, Breeder and Owner of Bichons of Fiskdale. I have owned and raised Bichons for over 18 years. The compassion and love that is put into these little guys to ensure that their security in trusting people is a major priority of mine while raising them. Teaching them important traits such as couches, stairs, using their pee pads is just the beginning of what their training. They spend time around children, socialize them with other animals such as cats, and other adult dogs, everyday normal noises such as televisions, vacuum cleaners, and grooming tools such as hair dryers and even with an electric toothbrush in the place of buzzers in their young age. All of this experience with them has made me realize just how big a part the Bichon’s breed had become and wanting to share the love with other families is now a huge passion of mine and what we do here. We perform Embark genetic testing on Sires and Dams of the litters to ensure the highest level of health. Patella testing is also done on Sires and Dams to help prevent any genetic related issues and most litters are AKC registered. Dams are given prenatal vitamins during and after pregnancies, as well as deworming preventatives. Pups are born in the privacy of our home. We have indoor and outdoor pens for the dogs, heated and air conditioned throughout the seasons. They are Held, spoken too, and loved since day one. Pups come with Health certificates, first shots, and dewclaws removed. Pups also come pad trained.
